This week, Once Upon a Time in The ’70s has posts scheduled for Monday (Jackie), Wednesday (Mark) and Friday (Paul.)
This will bring the total number of published Seventies-related posts to four hundred and twenty!
That’s a pretty comprehensive account of the late 1960s and ’70s, right there. Where else are you going to find such an extensive cornucopia of light-hearted recollections relating to the period?
Nowhere, we think.
While we reckon all aspects of 1970s life are covered, it’s no surprise really, given the huge part it played in all our lives, that music-related posts account for a third (one hundred and forty-three) of the posts.
The posts are written by our wonderful, regular contributors of whom we are massively appreciative, and cover pretty much every genre of that period. From general chart music, through Glam Rock, Classic Rock, Progressive Rock and Punk Rock to Soul, Funk Disco, Jazz and Singer / Songwriter, we have it covered. Each of the articles and recollections is written from a personal perspective by the author … so you won’t find any ‘AI’ or bland, regurgitated-fact-stuffed Wiki types on here! Oh no, no, no. 😀
Of course, with so many, varied articles available, finding a particular piece of interest and relevance could prove time consuming – which is why we’ve created the Music Directory.
The Music Directory can be quickly accessed from the Main Menu Bar at the top of whatever page you happen to be on. To aid your search for an article, we’ve placed the bands / artists into broad genres.
You can also make use of the Menu at the right of all screens … or even just enter the name of any band / artist into the Search box (directly below that aforementioned Menu) and see if and where on the blog they may happen to be mentioned.
Big thanks again to all our contributors over the years, and to all our readers for your continued support. It’s thanks you each and every of you that Once Upon a Time in The ’70s is the #1 listed site when Google searches are made for either of the terms, ‘1970s websites‘ or ‘1970s blogs.’

Congrats, 400-plus posts is an impressive record. Apart from the ’60s, the ’70s are my favorite decade in music. Keep up the great work! 🙂

If I had a time machine I would go back to the ’70s. Cheers.
